Colin's daughter demonstrates the product range to the Director General of ASEAN

Despite the floods in Bangkok, and the rest of Thailand, Morphun’s first exhibition in Thailand was a resounding success. No doubt a few visitors were deterred by the rising waters, but the Morphun stand was never quiet and attracted much interest from visiting dignitaries, including the Director General of ASEAN, Surin Pitsuwan, as well as many teachers groups and distributors from other countries.

Re-launch of 'Advanced Construction Bricks' and new graded instruction sheets.

Being launched at the Nuremburg Toy Fair in February, Morphun announces a whole new approach to our popular 'Advanced' construction bricks. Morphun have always listened to customers and teachers ideas when they develop and improve their products. "We have received two strong messages over the last year or more", says Colin Simonds, Managing Director; "that we have now used to develop these updated and improved Advanced sets that will be available September 2011". Teachers liked the A3 size Junior instructions in graded levels 1-6 that we launched a few years ago. There are now 20 different double sided sheets of Junior instructions, with over 200 different models and shapes available. This successful concept has been adopted for our Advanced sets and there are already 8 new Advanced Instruction sheets, graded over 6 levels of difficulty, that are available for the launch and more are planned.

We also had suggestions that teachers wanted to be able to introduce our Advanced sets to younger groups and that they needed some easier models and shapes, so that children could move seamlessly from Junior to Advanced bricks at an earlier age. Responding to this we have altered the mix of pieces used, mainly by adding the Junior triangle piece, and reducing the number of smaller pieces - great for younger fingers! To challenge the older ones, we have also added some interesting new pieces like these. We thank our customers for suggestions and comments!

"Morphun Strikes Gold"

We are proud to announce that Morphun products have won a glittering collection of Gold and Silver Awards in the last month, to add to our already impressive collection. Winning these awards for such a wide range of products in one season is spectacular for us and a justification of the considerable effort and care spent on the design, the manufacture, the development of instruction sheets and in the packing of our product range. Our thanks are due to all the teams involved.

Distributors should make contact with us as usual for more information and access to the details and the new artwork designs.

The Morphun "Junior Guide Book" builds on the success of our A3 format Junior Starter and Junior "Instruction Sheets" with 60 pages of full colour. 47 pages show models for "Junior Starter" and 11 for "Junior" sets.
Each model is shown with both its photograph and simple diagrams to help with construction. The number and type of pieces required is also shown to help teachers assess difficulty of each model and time allowed.
"Junior Starter" models are two dimensional with some old favourites and a selection of new ideas.
"Junior" models introduce the more advanced joiners, wheels and axles, for more complex three dimensional models.
The book is bound in comb plastic, with 250g paper pages, so that you have the option to use the pages loose. It is bound in 350g glossy card to withstand classroom activities.
